Kinetic12 led a group of operators and IFMA manufacturer members in the development of the Operator Collaboration Model (OCM), a framework that enables clear, honest communication on the status of the buyer-seller relationship and establishes the foundation for further collaboration by trading partners. Many operators have adopted this framework as part of their supplier review process and it is being used by suppliers to engage with operators to enable profitable growth. With the success of the launch of the OCM framework, a group of operators and suppliers wanted to establish a standardized process for collaboration between foodservice trading partners. Kinetic12 and IFMA established a board of companies which developed the Joint Business Planning Best Practice toolkit which provides tools that enable operators and manufacturers to develop actionable collaborative business plans. IFMA identified an opportunity to bring more foodservice specific training to its manufacturer member as well as the broader industry and asked Kinetic12 to build a training course that focused on the needs of sales professionals that call on national accounts. The resulting course integrates a lot of best practice information with practical knowledge that can lead to direct application with national accounts.
